Let Your Light Shine

As each of you prepare to go back to school, some of you may be going to college, some of you may be going to a new school or, maybe a new class, as you go I want to encourage you, to let the Holy Spirit be your guide, let your language and conversations be godly, let it reflect “The God In You”,  and who you are.  Do not deny your belief to please anyone or to follow the “so-called popular crowd. “  Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the ends thereof are the ways of death.” (It does not literally mean a physical death but a spiritual death – walking away from God).  I urge you to Follow what Paul commanded in Ephesians 4:29: “let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouths but rather use words for edification and grace. In Colossians 4:6 he also wrote, asking them “to walk wisely around worldly people and to speak gracefully and thoughtfully and in Titus 2:8, he told Titus to encourage the young men to have sound speech that could not be condemned.”

I urge you to Stand up for what you believe and Stand out from the crowd.  Always strive to make a difference in a positive way in everything you do, no matter what others may say or think. Of you…when you are doing what is right people will always find something negative to say.  Don’t forget to pray without ceasing… consult with your parents or other trustworthy adults when in time of doubt.   Do not be a follower, (You were all born to lead).  Philippians 4:13” You can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens you. “…  Remember that the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy and uses the people closest to you to deceive you…Trust NO man but put ALL your trust in God, he is the only one that can truly give you the help you need.

Let your words encourage and edify all those with whom you associate.  Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to give you Wisdom and Knowledge and use them with Understanding and good judgment.  Don’t forget where you came from…….  Make the Holy Spirit and your parents your best friend. … Remember God’s word and hide it in your heart at all times that you might not sin.

The world is beautiful; however, it has become a tough place to live.  All kinds of stuff will be thrown your way…Do not be discouraged…..Remember, God is always on your side. And he is able to carry you through your good times and your tough times…. Trust in him with all your heart and lean NOT, on your own understanding, in ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE him and he will direct your path.

STAND FAST…….STAND TALL ……….BE UNMOVABLE.  Do all things with love and grace and in honesty.  Arguments will come, know when to speak and know when to keep quiet, know when to walk and know when to run…..Be at peace with all men, even at times when you know you are right don’t be too proud to apologize, do whatever it takes to keep the peace………..have a humble spirit and the heart of a servant.  The scriptures ask us to seek peace and pursue it, so don’t let anything get in your way of keeping peace.

We were each created by God in his own image and likeliness.  Always see others as you see yourself.  Smile and be pleasant at all times.  Believe in God and believe in yourself..(Do not become confused by philosophy).. You must know why you believe what you believe and be able to defend it with scripture.  Remember “The Lord Is Your Keeper and  in spite of  all the bad things that are happening around you, “You Are All MORE Than Conquerors through Christ who loves you” Romans 8:37.  Don’t give up on God because He won’t give up on you.  Let this school year be the start of great things to come…let this be your best year yet.  Delight yourselves in the Lord.  GO AND CONQUEROR YOUR DREAMS, MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
